March came in like a lamb and went out like a lion at the Raulstons. Jeanne and I were privleged enough to get invited to go to Maui with our friends Brooke and Brandon. We were able to go with them a few years ago and apparently they forgot how much we owned them at Hand and Foot so they invited us back for a re-match ( this time we let them win in hopes of a invitaion next time they go). We had a really good time snorkelling and hanging at the beach. We decided to try surfing so we got a couple boards and hit the waves, we got a little ambitious and decided to track down some good size waves. None of us have ever surfed and none of us were willing to pay for lessons so the first spot we hit ended with blood and four tired hombres. We then decided to head south to a spot where the waves are perfect for "small people" and girls that weigh less than 120 lbs. neither of which Brandon and I are, so we had a hard time catching anything worth writting about. The girls though dominated those waves like they had been doing it for years. Maui was a blast it is definitley a place that I could see myself spending 10-11 months out of the year.
Now to the Lion part of March- I turned thirty. Really the only reason I mention my birthday is to give big ups to my beautiful wife and her cake baking skills. Although this cake looks like it fell off the roof onto the plate it tasted like it had fallen from the heavens.

LOL! That cake is awesome! Thanks for posting that. I'm so sick of looking at people's blogs with beautiful creations and flaunting of perfection....it's exhausting. Good to know some of us are still human. I love that girl of yours. I'm super jealous of the Hawaii trip.
What happened to that cake?!! Looks, delish. Game on in the hand and foot department. New rule... It has to be played in Hawaii!
Happy Birthday Dave!! Johnny will be turning the big 30 in September, and Hab is too in August! I didn't realize you all were the same age. Your Hawaii trip sounds awesome! I miss seeing you guys; you and Jeanne are so fun!
