We have had a take over....

Sloane has decided I have not been doing a good enough job with the blog, so now she is in charge. She has been choosing the backgrounds and that is why they have been changing almost every day. She also is in charge of the title and the colors of the words. Hence the new name Sloane's blog, 4 year old's think they know everything!

New do for the Holidays!

So my little girl has been growing her hair all year long, and in one snap decision she decided to cut it. I am starting to have regrets after yesterday morning when I had to wake her up early to shower so I could blow out her hair ( ridiculous I know, but I am a hairstylist). It is definitely going to be a lot more work for me than her standard ponytail. With that being said, it is all worth it because she looks so freaking cute!

So I had to post this picture of my little Diva, more for the reason that she looks like she should be eight years old instead of my little baby girl and it makes me so sad how fast she growing! But I think its really cute also!

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving in St. George with the entire Slaugh Family. A big thanks goes to Aunt Joni for having all 30+ at her house for the Thanksgiving Feast, it was so nice to have the family all together. The weather was just right for football, fun at the park and hiking. The weekend got a little weird when Sloane and Hudson decided to reverse roles and become Stalone and Kate Hudson, wierd but awfully funny.

I just thought I would post a few pictures of the cutest COW and WITCH I have ever seen, oh ya and the cutest LADYBUG, CHICKEN, and WOODY! Believe it or not but those are not false lashes on Sloane, its just not fair. I just want to say thank you to all who made it so much fun, and to the Schoells for feeding us the most delicious chili so we had the energy to do lots of Trick or Treating!

St. George

Mud is just so much fun...


We went to St. George last weekend and it was so much fun!! The weather was beautiful so we got to spend the whole weekend at the pool or the lake. It was a great way to end the season with all the people we love around us ( except Hailey, who was off having her own fun in sunny California,) and the awesome weather. Who could ask for more?

Frankenboy

Beckett decided to learn how to walk up the stairs today and took a tumble into the banister and split his head open above his eye as his proud parents looked on. He is going to give his mother a heart attack before the year is up. He had to get six stitches, but that did not slow him down he was wrestling with Papa and throwing his balls around like nothing even happened. He is such a brave little boy, I was so proud of him. We are just hoping he gets all his bumps and bruises out of the way now and that this is not going to be a life long venture.

Dream Man

I have always thought of Micheal Cera as one of the sexiest men alive and I have taken a page out of a certain member of our family who loves to cause a ruckus and started writing letters to People Magazine to have him considered for the cover this year. I thought this picture captured the raw power Cera possesses. This year more than ever your vote needs to be cast- let your voice be heard and vote Cera for Sexiest man alive.

So in my search for music I came across a couple new Vampire Weekend songs that I thought I would throw on our blog to share with everyone. They are a Raulston family favorite and I had not heard anything other than what was on their album so I am pretty excited about this find.

First Day of School

Today my big girl had her first day of Pre School. I can't believe she is so old, these last four years have flown! It doesn't even phase her, she is so happy to be going she can't even stand it. Adam, a neighborhood boy is in her class this year so we will see how much learning goes on. Sloane thinks it is really sweet that her teachers name is Audrey like her middle name. She goes three times a week, this is great for me because it gives me time to spend some one on one time with Beckett. I cant imagine what it will be like when they are both in school.

Leigh Slaugh

We decided to have a fun filled day up at Snowbird today. They have a bunch of things to do, such as; a Zip Line, an Alpine Slide, a Mechanical Bull (that was sick), a climbing wall, a bungee tramp and a bouncy castle for the kids. That's all in addition to the ski and tram lifts. Sloane was super brave on the bungee tramp and the alpine slide, she is our little dare devil. On the way up to Mineral Basin we saw some deer and a wild dog...coyote??...who knows. As we were leaving we saw a Moose couple anxiously awaiting Octoberfest to start. For anyone looking for a quick getaway this was a blast.

Family fun at Bear Lake

We had the chance to go to Bear Lake this weekend and it was so much fun! We went with the whole family, and a few extra, it was quite the crew. We boated, played on the beach, ate lots of food and just hung out. It was a truly relaxing vacation.

Summer Night at the Ball Park

The family all went out to the ballpark last week. It was a blast even if the Bee's lost. Sloane and Beckett love to play in the play ground out in the outfield. We have been able to go to quite a few games this year thanks to Buz schmoozing the girl at the gas station. Chuck has a way with the ladies.

Swimming Lessons

Sloane took swim lessons for the first time this year and she had a blast! It was only a two week run but I could not believe how far she came in to weeks. She is floating on her back alone, she will dive to the bottom to get rings, and she can she can swim almost the right way. It makes me feel more and more confident in her being around the water. Jeanne Dave Sloane & Beckett

I cant believe ten years has passed since high school. Time goes so fast I still feel like I am eighteen. It has been nice to see what everyone has been up too, let me catch you up on me and my family.

I married my husband Dave in 2002 and we have two great children. I have worked at Capelli Hair for the last nine years but now just do it two days a week. Dave has worked in the Insurance industry for the last five years for Bear River Mutual until last week when he decided to pursue a career in Commercial Steel Drafting. We are keeping our fingers crossed.

Sloane who is four has been going to preschool and enjoys learning new things like; swimming, dancing, tumbling and most of all riding her bike. She is a great big sis to her brother and is a big help around the house. She loves loud music and most of the time I feel like I am already raising a teenager.

Our son Beckett is one and a half. He has been such a good baby since the day he was born, he is really mellow and loves to just sit back and enjoy life. He already loves to play catch with his dad and is trying to play a little soccer. He super silly and keeps us laughing all the time.
